If Mewtwo is a clone of Mew, why is it larger and look completely different? That's not how cloning works. If its DNA is modified, it's no longer a clone and is in effect a brand new entity altogether.

Hence why it's classified as an entirely different Pokemon from Mew you fucking moron. If it were a clone then it would just be another Mew and there would only be 150 spots in the Kanto dex.

It's a failed clone. Duh.
However, failed clones by definition die within a certain amount of time because of degenerative genes. Mewtwo is a new species because, despite being a failed clone, it can survive indefinitely.
