Holllly shiiit. This is my forst shiny sincr Emerald. Please tell me shiny's aren't anymore common in X/Y then the other gens because I feel so accomplished right now.

I've played them since Blue and never had a shiny before X. I chain fished on, and have run into two randomly.

I'm confused, is it not common practice to throw a Quick Ball, turn 1, always? It has the best rate besides a Master Ball or the stupid gimmick shit from gen II.

Turn 1 Quick Ball would get a lvl10 Abra any day.
The only other option would be to have already got something that can sleep or lock in into battle at the front of your party.

I don't understand. Doesn't everyone run a gardivior with syncronize (so you can get the nature you want) and taunt to stop teleporting when hunting in the wild? At least a Breloom if you like to live wild and risk the wake-up tele.
