Now, I normally let stuff not bother me about designs, movepools, abilities and what not because I figure that Gamefreak is designing the entirety of these characters, so they should decide what is able to do what.
If they want their Persian to breath fire, who am I to say it's incorrect? Pangoro learning Infestation? Strange, but they said it could so it could. Their floppy, pigeon.. fairy.. thing, Togekiss can use Extremespeed? Sure, go for it.
But the one thing that has always bothered me is speed stats. Speed is the sort of thing where that's something that should sort of be fixed into it's inherent design. Why? Because it can potentially look awkward as fuck when in action, hurting the actual design. Furthermore, Speed affects the pokemon's ability in the metagame more than any other stat.
It just bothers me that Purugly, the fatass cat with stubby limbs and a generally restricted design is faster than the sleek ninja-like Bisharp, the agile fighter (with large thigh muscles nonetheless) Lucario and even Lati@s, which look like god damn jet planes.
