Seriously, best way to beat Smogon Sets is to play in a way they won't expect. Nothing better than U-Turn that actually does damage, or Arial Ace before an obvious EQ, ect.

Going to go ahead and put this suspicion out there about friend safari: I've caught three now every time it has been within thirty minutes of first entering the safari.

On the other hand, I have spent at least 6 hours in another safari with no luck. There's no way the rates are same in every safari. I think it must have something to do with the person's friend code that causes a higher rate.

Very happy over here though. Spent those 6 hours trying to get a ponyta in one safari, then just tried out a new ponyta safari and got one within 30 minutes!

Umm, what do you mean by "call you"? Basically, if he's facing you, he has an egg ready. If he is facing towards the building, then he hasn't got an egg.

I personally just rods back and forth down that route, and picked/deposited eggs as they hatched, but many people do a batch of 6 at once.

Slurpuff can be pretty good, mainly due to getting both cotton guard and unburden. Bold should be a decent nature for it if you use it as a cleric, running wish and aromatherapy.

What about East Sea Shellos/Gastrodon? It has them also, Reshiram's horn things also bare a striking resemblance to Goodra's ones allbeit feathery, Plus, It's a dragon, Not a human thing like Jynx/Gardevoir which are things that I'd never want to be male due to the fact that they're clearly women.
I'm sorry, I just can't see it being feminine enough to dislike the other gender, But I do prefer female Goodra over the male ones for obvious reasons.

I do too. It's not that I hate male Goodra, because I think it's fine on a normal colored Goodra, but shiny is all gold-ish pink-red and looks even more feminine. I'm just going to keep going, because if I'm going to spend time on getting something, and then settle for the first thing I get, then why would I even start? I heard about the scams on GTS but decided to give it a try this morning. I've been MMing Mareep, but the japanese parent i had only had perfect atk/spa/spd, 2 of which are useful. I checked the GTS for a foreign mareep, found a japanese one claiming to have 5 IVs that was asking for a mewtwo. I thought "fuck it" and gave it a try, of course it has zero perfect IVs. Joke's on him though, now Mewtwo doesn't show up under "pokemon you own." Not like I was ever going to use it anyway.

Then I just tried again a few minutes ago, got a 4IV mareep and traded some level 1 kanghaskan I had gotten from a wonder trade. The hunt continues, my first MM shiny took me about 2,300 eggs, I wonder how many this will take.

idk, that's what I did for my first MM but I didn't feel like being creative and looking up stuff. I just searched for a level 1-10 mareep of any gender, foreign. I alreaady have good males or females to breed it with so it didn't matter. If I ever want to MM again I'll broaden my GTS search, since finding foreign people to trade with on /vp/ seems difficult.

I only say this because someone got jumped earlier up thread for trying to trade shiny. but like I said, you might get lucky because there have been a few shiny trades. You might just have better luck at whichever current shiny trade thread is up.

You probably already know from the shiny limber ones transforming on you but just in case, a shiny imposter ditto will transform into your non shiny mon so if you're glancing away from the screen often you might not notice it was shiny, I sent out zoroark first when I was hunting for one because I was paranoid about that. I ended up giving up after a lillipup and two audino though
