The system in place for BW/BW2 already weeds out those, same with other legitimately impossible shit like hidden abilities on yet to released Pokemon or impossible abilities/movesets/EVs.

Just face it: Whatever is accepted on GTS in BW/BW2 right now will make it through the Pokebank, and that includes well-generated Pokemon.

That is not possible. Do you not understand logic? The cheat protection for those older generations is figured out. Cracked. It's over. You can create a completely custom Pokemon even down to the useless filler bits that change nothing and it would pass the current checks. You cannot retroactively implement a cheating protection against that without also accidently banning legit Pokemon.

No you can't because the data structure for those older generations is completely figured out. There is no hidden value that can only be legitimately generated on the games for Pokemon because we already know of every single value determining everything about a Pokemon for those older games. There is nothing additionally to check because we datamined the games and control everything they could possibly check about a Pokemon.

Is it really that bad? I've done basically everything except roamer abuse in BW with little to no difficulty. The only things that have been moderately problematic is resetting for the right timer0 in BW2 and maybe FRLG abuse.

VGC banning Pokemon from the previous games is nothing new. Every single one has done that right after a new generation launched. Subsequent tournaments will most likely allow Pokemon from the previous games.

Just watch.
The smart ones are sending over a box of perfect foreign dittos for breeding. Everyone else thinking they'll be using their perfect pokegened mons for anything but egg moves is gonna be real butthurt.

They're simply allowing you to trade them over and keep them for story and pokedex because everyone got assmad with Gen 3 deleting 2 and 1 entirely.

Non "Kalos legit" mons will not be allowed use in online or trading because of the past gens being flooded with hacks. This is until Pokegen starts working with Gen 6 games directly to trick the game into thinking it's a "Kalos legit" monster.

The negative opinion about the VGC is shared by enough people that its a very bad thing for the official competitive scene. Smogon isn't perfect, but Nintendo could learn a few things by watching their tournaments. I don't mind the doubles tournament. Its simply the horrible standard to which Pokemon are banned and lack of control on things such as sleep.

there are no irregularities in programing to detect

BW2 pokegen makes pokemon identical to legit pokemon, there is not 1 byte of a difference between them
it is mathematical and logically impossible to make a countermeasure
the only way to stop them from getting uploaded is to stop all black and white pokemon from getting uploaded

Your analogy isn't completely wrong, but you're forgetting that both old and new versions of the currency are in circulation and accepted.
It's the same with Pokemon - gen 6 might bring new protection to the table, but that doesn't mean old, generated mons won't be accepted. Those might get additional values to protect against these things when they're transfered to the Pokebank (it's a one-way transfer, right?), but they will be accepted.

It's like how Pokemon suddenly got a gender when you transfered them from gen 1 to gen 2 - a new value derived from old values.

The main issue is that the game now uses SSL connections for most online parts. They will almost definitely do that for PokeBank, which means it's going to be near impossible to reverse engineer it and make a fake bank.

Hurr no fuck. It's a simple value that says "This mon was generated in X or Y". It will be used to filter shit out that isn't generated in X or Y. So in effect, yes it is a "legit check". A shitty and temporary one but it is one.

Once pokegen gets updated for X/Y injection/pokebank spoofs/etc. come out it's back to total anarchy. That is unless GF actually decide to be serious over this which could lead to fun little encryption updates and patches being sprinkled about.

Its a simple way to get rid of every known hack in one shot and start clean for at least a little while.
