ITT: Pokemon that have more than two attacking animations (you know, besides the physical one and the special one) that people may overlook.

Pic related has for some reason two different physical attack animations.

Goodra has 4 attack animations.

A tail attack, a charge attack, a stationary attack (for something like rain dance), and a antenna attack.

Scizor has an overhand smack, a weird one that looks like he's shooting lasers, and another one where he clacks his claws in their direction like a weird crab, while garchomp has a slash, a bite, and two roar animations.

Looks like most of these were decided by popularity, with priority to those introduced in Gen VI. Don't expect many of the currently unavailable Pokémon to have more than 2 animations.

Pikachu, all pseudolegendaries, and all legendaries have 4, but Xerneas only has 1 viewable in the summary screen for some reason. It definitely has 4 in actual battles, though.

Lucario, fully evolved starters Noivern, Volcarona (it's very subtle; I only noticed it because of pkparaiso's gifs), Smeargle, Ferrothorn, and Chandelure have 3 I've found.

Seems to mostly be stuff with signature moves and/or wide movepools. Lots of simplistic shit only have 1 and of course stuff with only 1 move.

It's not that weird. Hell, Charizard has 3, so does Hitmontop.

I haven't tested it, but my suspicion is that they're doing "Special Attack" / "Physical Attack" / "Physical Attack which makes contact" for certain mons.

For the record, when Aegislash attacks in shield forme it's the same animation as King's Shield, that's his only one.

Lucario has 4 animations, Charizard has some tail attack I've never seen in battle.

Well, the inactive form is just a texture swap that doesn't have any unique animations or anything. My guess is that they figured that they should have at least one animation for the summary screen, so they plopped one of the attack animations onto the inactive form model and called it a day.
