How do you suppose this make sense in-universe wise? Take Onix for example, he's a fucking Rock/Ground boulder snake, if he digs all around in the ground like you would expect him to, would he fucking die or what? How does this work?

You don't get it, typing weakness means its weak to an attack of that type. The ground itself isn't an attack, so no it wouldn't hurt it. Nor would Quagsire be hurt by walking in grass.

How do you not understand the difference between digging in the ground yourself and being attacked by something ground based? Just because something is weak to water doesn't mean it shits itself if it takes a swim, because swimming is different than being attacked.

You lot are making some pretty jumps in your ideas about how type matchups work, which there is literally zero proof for or against.

Onix may very well corrode if left submerged in water.

Quagsire might very well suffer chemical damage from walking through grass for some time.

Magnezone could be hardier than normal bullets can do beyond irritation.

I'm not saying I disagree, either. There's just no goddamn canon information.
