Granted I still have 10 episodes, but for me, this season has a lot of story building, pretty good gymbattles, and a metric fuckton of legendary pandering which were done pretty damn well.
Hell even the friendly and unfriendly rivalry was done pretty well.
My biggest gripe has to be the Ash reset that happened from sinnoh to Unnova, but I was already expecting that to happen since the game is ultimately made for an ever-changnig audience, and you can't expect new watchers to know what a beedrill is or make Ash god-tier level trainer, since it would kill their ability to insert themselves in ash's place.
And meloetta was cute as shit.
