Why do people hate legendaries but like megas?

Why isn't ok to have 5 mons you like and 1 legendary has a standard team? With the amount of legendaries at this point I don't see why not.

Only take one and stick with it. I have a strict limit of having only a single legendary if I ever feel like using a favorite in an unrestricted match to avoid going overboard.

I like to run Cobalion on my team, because I adore the design and conception. If people don't like that, fuck 'em. It's not like I'm running a six-legend team.
