Ah, I was wondering why I was seeing it more often lately. And yes it is awesome. I've been running it with Rocky Helmet, Foul Play, Defog, Taunt, and Roost.
I don't know how I feel about OU. I like that not many people use it and not many people know how to play against it.

I've taken my fighting types. Usually they are a bit faster and my Roost goes second. They take damage from Rocky Helmet. Also they tend to have high attack and low defenses so even a resisted Foul Play does decent damage.
Of course, I'd rather switch but Mandibuzz isn't helpless against them. It is mainly helpless against Fairy types.

Not as easy as it sounds. Foul Play still bites even when it's resisted, especially against Fighting types, who 99% of the time are physically oriented.

Mandibuzz is good. Damn good. I am interested to see how it fares when Pokebank is released. Scizor, Skarmory, Latias, Crobat and Gliscor all get Defog, and can all use it extremely competently... I know that Defog isn't Mandibuzz's ONLY perk, but it's definitely a driving force.

Meh, Gliscor and Latias make better Defog users imho. Flygon for lower tiers- whenever those get settled. I couldn't use a defog user that's weak to smogon stones.

I've only seen defog once or twice when playing Pokebank on Showdown. It is really good against stall teams, but stall is rare.

I really wish Overcoat worked like Magic Guard. I mean, it only protects from Hail and Sandstorm.

Mandibuzz also has access to Whirlwind though, has no x4 weakness, and has the SpDef to go mixed wall.

Among the higher tiers in Gen V OU, Mandibuzz was used an insane amount, alongside some other "bizarre" choices like Tangrowth and Amoonguss.

Overcoat and Knock Off boost are both nice. Shofu is a bad.

The best thing Mandibuzz has going for it right now is a resistance to Ghost and an ability to punish set up sweepers.

Not resisting Fighting/Dragon/Bug/or Fire really hurts it when trying to take on the heavy hitters of 5th gen once we get pokebank.

Well the idea was to use Toxic and either Whirlwind and Toxic the next thing, or use Fly so they're stuck taking Toxic damage before I come back down to hit them and then they take some more Toxic damage.

It's not great, I know, and for my purposes Mean Look might be better (I THINK it gets that as an Egg Move), but I like it.
