Infernape makes a great lead. Played right, you can get so much momentum so fast.

Packs a decent punch unboosted too, so if it didn't take too much of a pounding earlier, it can net you a good kill or 2.

Without items and Special Attack and Special Defense maxed out, Torterra survives a Fire Blast.

The same for max Attack and Defense.

Torterra however always OHKO's Infernape with a STAB Earthquake.

Keep in mind that the equivalent to 'adult-human size' in Pokemon games is only 160 centimeters.

At first I hated Infernape's design and the fact it was another Fire/Fighting type, and I never thought to use one because I liked Blaziken so much...

Maybe some day we'll get one with Iron Fist and I can try him out. I'll name it Goku. And I don't mean Dragonball Goku.

Infernape has a superior movepool but you cant do jack shit with 10/7/107 offenses

Even with its higher than average BST for a starter, its still not that good anymore.

On that note, is blaziken still the only fighting type to not have close combat? I understand why garchomp doesnt have dragon dance, but close combat on blaziken isnt so badly broken
