I just thought it would be better in case of Mega Gengar. What does Grass Knot hit besides the obvious Gastrodon?

If Gengar KOs one of my mons, I could go to Heliolisk, Volt Switch out to get some prior damage and switch to something like Aegislash to dodge the Focus Blast and finish off with Shadow Sneak. I just want to use him as a revenge killer.
