When she does put her foot down and confront him in Kiloude where he's sulking in the rain, their little talk would escalate to an argument and into a pokemon battle where Calem yells out cries of mercy when he gets his shit wrecked by Serena's Mega Evo pokemon or some shit.
No matter how much they try to communicate, Calem's lack of communication is just making it hard for everyone. The rift in their friendship causes Serena to do things on her own like beat up chefs or make rich people realize they're not so big of a deal. She admits that it's sort of lonely up here in the top of world. Tierno and Trevor are out being useless and they hardly speak to her and while she does see Shauna who is already living on her front lawn, she's barely beside her for support. And the one person she truly felt would be there for her is cutting her out of his life (at least to her.)
