Thinking of doing a gimmicky sun team. Is it worth taking both Charizard Y and Ninetales? Also what other pokemon should I look into taking?

I'm making a sun team too OP. I'm just going to use Ninetales and put sunny day on something relatively bulky.

My team is going to include at least:

Ninetales
Heliolisk
Leafeon
Volcarona

And I'm not sure about the last two.

Not taking Charizard Y also keeps a slot open for a better mega evo, should you so wish.

Leafeon is pretty great. Take weakness policy or leftovers/shellbell/etc on him for sure. Also consider using leaf guard instead of chlorophyl if you need bulk since he has a 130 base def and can survive through attacks hes weak to.

I don't know about not using Mega-Charizard Y, tbh. He's really fucking scary (unlike Ninetales) with his 159 Fire Blasts in the sun. I guess if you REALLY wanted to run Heat Rock on Ninetales you would have a case, but Ninetales is so bad I think you might be better off running something with Sunny Day and a Heat Rock to possibly avoid compounded weaknesses.
