>>16483328It's fine that you have an opinion, but when you say that shit, you gotta be clear.
Clearly you think that pokemon should always be naturally occurring phenomena; I think that manmade phenomena is alright because it set a precedent for that in gen 1.
But in that case, don't just say 'It's stupid because it's a washing machine', because it doesn't really justify your opinion in any way, especially when your earlier statement is 'these are the concepts not done right'
>>16483346I can agree that it's corny, but it's definitely not as bad as other candidates for this due to it being a natural pokemon simply inhabiting an object, rather than just being a straight up living version of the object. Honestly, I think a major portion of the shit it gets comes from the combination of:
-It's from a recent gen
-It's Good
Rather than just because people don't like the concept of it. They don't have the nostalgia for it, and they see it often, so it's most present in their mind despite not being one of the worst offenders.
>>16483381Except 'it's a washing machine' is not a statement that connects properly to 'it's ugly'. There needs to be a statement to back up WHY 'it's a washing machine' fits in with 'it's ugly', or else the fact that it's a washing machine has nothing to do with why it's ugly.
