>>16485150as much as I agree that priority isn't save all (hyperaggro is easily punished), it is needed for some pokemon that would be otherwise swept easily. Hell, Prankster is the only reason people run Klefki. It wasn't reason enough for Whimsicott to be OU, but at least it gave it a shot.
My example: Trick Room weather Magcargo wouldn't be great, but it has so many weaknesses that it's hard not to expect super effective hit from any opponent (between Fighting/Ground/Water/Rock opponent's team is BOUND to have something SE against it). Trick Room Weather ability however would do following:
1) allow it to set up whole slow team
2) allow to Amnesia/Stockpile before opponent attacks, bringing those defences up
3) allow to deal some damage before it gets revenge killed. 80 Sp.Att may not be greatest thing ever, but at least it's SOMETHING.
This is not random 'lolpriority on everything'.
