you don't need them to be level 100. 91 is the highest pickup bracket. i don't know how long it takes but i did it.

i remember it taking a long time.

The hard part is actually getting them to find fucking rare candies, since it's a 1/1000 chance per battle per Linoone

A friend of mine has a lv100 pick up squad and I'd say it paid off for him. He's found like 5 leftovers so far on top of the mounds of other neat things.
Only downside is that it takes a lot of time and effort that could be spent training other Pokemon.

i do plan on transferring the linoones to gen6 though to get more leftovers. even with lvl91+ linoones it takes a while to get the leftovers.

it's probably faster to buy a second game and trade over the leftovers from that.

No, rare candy chance at lvl 41-100 is 10% per pokemon, and a 10% chance of pickup activating after battle.
If you have 6 Linoone at the same time, that means there's a 6% chance of getting a rare candy after every battle, but in practice you should be getting one every 10 battles or so.

Dude very easy to level in this game. I'll teach you right now:

Walk 5,000 steps with your 3DS

Get Experience Gain 2 or 3

Get 3 Lucky Eggs

Go to Le Yeah restaurant in the main city

Go to triple battles

Fight the 4 trainers

Rinse and repeat until level 91

You walk the 5000 steps to recharge your o-power, and you stack Lucky Eggs and Experience Gain, and you will level 3 Linoones at the same time. Even easier if you get someone to trade you 6 linoones.

To elaborate on that, at level 81 the chance of getting leftovers is 1% per Linoone, so with 6 Linoone that's a .6% chance per battle, taking into account the 10% chance of pickup activating in the first place.

You get one from Courmarine Hotel by showing the girl a friendly pokemon

You can get two more from Chanseys from friend safaris. I recommend using a compound eyes Yanma with Theif and just farm chansyes until you get your Lucky Eggs. They have a low drop, but compound eyes doubles the drop rate to 10% Happy Farming!

>Send out a Pokémon holding an Amulet Coin
>Send out any third one
>Get Smeargle to use Happy Hour
>Next turn get Smeargle to use Feint since Protect is inevitable or switch out for another Pokémon
>The above step should stop the Protect/Detect pish
>Proceed to destroy the opponent the way you know best
