So, what's a good Pokemon to use Assault Vest on? It seems like a really cool item, but every possible candidate I can think of is better off with lefties or orb/choice items.

Anything with at least a decent attacking stat, good supereffective coverage, and good HP and defense.

Metagross, Conkeldurr, Slowbro, Tangrowth, Escavalier...

Hitmonchan's the only one who springs to mind, he's actually a pretty decent special wall with a vest - Albeit light on offensive ability unless your opponent just sits there and lets you spam power up punch.

Assault Vest's drawback is that you're effectively perma-taunted because you can't use non-attacking moves like substitute or swords dance.

Anything with bulk that you would consider for choice specs/band can probably use a vest for a more defensive bent, with the obvious exclusion of trick shenanigans.

That gets me thinking. Drain Punch would get around the typical no recovery that Assault Vest brings.

Any other good users of recovery moves like Drain Punch or Giga Drain?

My thoughts go to Roserade, it has bad physical defense I know but its special defense would be pretty tough with investment.

i've been using assault vest eelektross with giga drain
it's not the bulkiest or the strongest but the vest lets it stick around for a lot longer than you'd expect

What to use for the other two moves? I was thinking about Bulldoze, but I'm guessing Earthquake would be better just to do more damage.
