Neither. During the turn you Mega Evolve, you select 1 attack, and the attack that you use that turn becomes the declared attack for that turn.

So you basically killed the idea of smeargle setting up different traps and occasionally getting an attack in and replaced it with "your stuck with one move that might be effective against one pokemon?"

No, it's having 4 moves that stay the same throughout the battle, but being able to use 1 move outside of its movepool during (and only during) the turn it Mega Evolves.

I like that design. That stat spread could use some proper tweaking, though. Megas tend to have big, splashy offensive stats and speed.

Pretty much a mixed sweeper, with a 50% boost on physical attacks with high critical hit ratios. A cross between Mega Blastoise/Charizard X.

I had an idea for ability for Mega Gallade, Bisharp, and Farfetch'd that's like that. But I called it "Swordsmanship."

It also caused Swords Dance to go to +3 attack instead of +2
