sure it was kinda gutted but it was fun to go through a second gym leader challenge.
its better than kalos which you only get one extra city that only has one building of worth.

The region might not have been as expansive as the original Kanto, but it was far from barren. We got to see how the region changed over time, which was cool. The gym leaders were great, by the way, and Red was even better.

No, postgame alone doesn't make the game good. But I enjoyed the game in general, and I really don't understand why you didn't. The only reason I brought up the postgame first is because it was my favorite part.

It took me quite a while to beat it, I took a break for a few weeks after I originally got into Kanto and beat a couple gyms. I did finish it in it's time period, though. Easily took the longest out of any Pokemon game I've played.

The Ruby/Sapphire generation was the worst.
FR/LG were OK. The island mini quest stuff was boring. Hopefully they won't fuck up when they decided to remake the 1st gen again.

The next gen 1 remake is going to have to be epic....

I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being the first real Pokemon console game the way Wii U sales are going.

Pretty much... SSB and Wind Waker are the main reasons I bought a Gamecube.

Yeah that's just never going to happen though.... Best case scenario it'll have Kanto and Johto since those were the originally planned games.

If we tried to do 6 regions in one console game the quality would really slack. Plus if this does happen, these games aren't going to be part of the main series despite being "real" Pokemon games. We gotta keep those handheld sales in tact.

It's not bad but it's definitely not the top of anything. It didn't really try to make it a modern Pokemon game, I mean yeah there were some changes but for the most part if felt like a prettier RBY. I didn't really feel that way with HGSS however.

I don't see a Kanto remake in a while. They just gave us the legendaries minus Mew to us in XY. I'm not going to be shouting "Hoenn confirmed", but the missing berries in the guidebook, Latios and Latias getting a mega, as well Deoxy's "fifth" meteorite implies there will be a Hoenn remake at some point in the 3DS' lifespan. I actually thought they weren't at first because of Kyogre and Groudon in HGSS, but they seem to have stopped with the Hoenn legendaries at that point and with something related to Deoxys in this Gen (backwards compatibility died for RSE recently it would be a waste to include something that only people lucky enough to still own RSE and a GBA/NDS can obtain.) I can see it happening, but not before this "new region."

Although another Kanto remake is plausible but not soon. If they do another one I hope they have the balls to retcon a lot of it so it fits the rest of the series.
