>>16529158Grass - Great design, adorable as fuck pre-evolution, goats are awesome, catchy cry, good stats, and great movepool. What more can I say?
Ground - A volcano-themed camel is just too awesome of a concept to dislike. I had some hope that maybe you could ride it in X/Y...
Ice - See: Sylveon's reasoning.
Normal - This is a Pokemon where you just hear the concept and you instantly love it. A duck born from the Internet? How can you not like it?
Poison - Why a simple design is not bad. That evil grin is just too loveable. Plus, competitively, it's remained top tier for the entire history of the franchise. Even a karenfag would have to agree that's an accomplishment.
Psychic - I've always liked this thing back when I played Colosseum, and I still do today. Simple but cute design. And it's fun to use competitively because of Magic Bounce shenanigans.
Rock - I initially went with Aurorus when they were revealed, but I grew to like the Tyrantrum line more. It's weird, it's a very badass-looking Pokemon, but it has this cute side to it too...might be because of me playing with it in Amie.
Steel - No legendary shaming pls. My favorite Mew clone, I really like the star aesthetic it has going on, and it's fun as fuck to use too. I love Serene Grace.
Water - My favorite starter. Wrecked ass with him in Colosseum, and he made a comeback in HG. Alligators are just so cool. Now if only Gamefreak would give him his hidden ability so he can wreck ass competitively too...
