It could be a lot worse (that's doesn't mean it's good although). But it has a distinctive design, it's not too simple or overly designed.
But more importantly, it makes a nice counterpart to tyrantrum.
I'll give you that it's one of the weakest fossils in term of design.
Now, competitive Aurorus is utter shit. Not even I, who has uses a fossil team 5 out of 7 times, find it useful.
