Look at the damn NU tier in gen 5 : Beedrill, Unown, Ledian, Delibird... then Musharna Bastiodon elektross SCOLIPEDE ARTICUNO SAWK SHELLSMASHCARRACOSTA, pachirisu, luvdisc.
There are a million pokemon in this tier and some are even prevos banned from the NFE tier like freaking eviolite Tangela.
How the hell am I expected to use shittymons against the Regis or pokemon that can be used in OU with no problems?
I know some degree of shit happens in every tier and banning Articuno to Ubers would be insanely retarded, but holy fuck get these awesome pokemon away from my fucking Delcatties.
I suppose it cannot be fixed without adding a shitload of new tiers and most people already ignore the lower ones, but If I had to suggest something FUN :
New gamemode where your team must have 1 pokemon from each tier, OU UU RU NU NU-1 NU-2 (with BL being fused into the upper tier). No legendaries or pseudos. This gamemode would start with a copied tier list, then rework it without any strings attatched to the regular. Every week, all tier slot usage is checked and the first 3 pokes in each tier are thrown into the next tier and the 3 least used ones drop into the previous tier.
A second gamemode would be implemented after a couple months were you play with 3 slots from "Ubers" and 3 OU, the 3 "unbanned from OU" pokemon that should drop again into OU would come from this usage.
A third gamemode would be exclusively pokemon that dropped from NU-2. This tier of the shittiest mons would decide which ones go up a rank every week.
In very special cases, like moody, drizzle and speed boost, the pokemon would be "copied" into two different tiers, being completly unnafected by eachother's usage and essentially work as two different pokemon. Speed boost Blaziken could be stuck in Ubers forever while his Blaze Twin was still in UU for example.
No Smogon concil, no Moody Remoraid banned from Ubers, no copy paste team.
