Beneath it, the top layer of earth is damaged but the lower layers of ground are unscathed and can even preserve material even with glaciers atop it. While glaciers can reshape the earth, it rarely destroys it. A harsh winter does nothing to the ground beneath, and when spring comes, the plants using the ground as shelter come out.

Neutral vs: Fighting, Fairy, Dark, Ground, Electric, Psychic, Normal, Ghost
NVE vs: Poison, fire, steel
Ice heals Ice 50% of total damage it would have caused
