>>16554289>Dragons>No longer viableWhoa there, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Button Sweepers were always for situations where you were literally only 2-3 'mons away from winning. That meant taking out your opponent's Steel-types and Physical walls in Gens 4 and 5, and now their Fairy-types in Gen 6. That's why they're called "Sweepers": They clean up teams that have already been significantly crippled. They shouldn't be 6-0ing experienced players using well-planned teams.
Most Fairies are too slow to be Sweepers (fucking Xerneas being the main exception) and instead are the walls and/or wallbreakers that fight for glory and momentum mid-game, only to find themselves weakened to the point of being liabilities as the match draws to a conclusion.
Fairies do shit on Dark and Fighting-types, though, which tend to be wallbreakers, pivots, (anti)-leads, or revenge killers, all of which are meant to be active in the same phases of the game as Fairies.
