Shit like Infernape and Greninja are perfectly viable in OU. Last gen, Blastoise and Empoleon were in UU, while Venusaur was OU and Blaziken was uber (yeah, speed boost, I know, but I don't see Ninjask in Ubers too). Even shit like Samurott was one of the top pokes in NU, which is actually good considering shit like Regice is never used as well. This gen, Charizard is probably gonna be OU thanks to it's mega evolutions.
I, as a competitive player, chose to pick the shitty pokes I like for in-game. Because hell, if I don't use shit like Floatzel, Sudowoodo or Sunflora in-game, how am I supposed to use them?
I'm not using that shit for competitive any time soon. Besides, the game is already easy enough to use good mons.
