I, personally, would assume that actually bothering to include details like the ex-Magma, Aqua, and Rocket grunts in BW and BW2 when Game Freak had no reason to be advertising games involving them counts as them giving a shit about a timeline. They do make some attempts to line things up.
>>16600790...Huh? I honestly don't know what you're trying to say with this. The Team Rocket grunt you meet in Black and White is the one who stole the generator part from the Power Plant. That puts HG/SS before BW, which is before BW2, which is before X and Y. At the same time, dialogue in HG/SS puts those games after Emerald.
Even if you ignore the scraps of dialogue in HG/SS, there's still the former Team Magma and Aqua grunts in BW2, which *still* predates X and Y.
