I've been using one in my VGC Trick Room team and it's rarely let me down. Smogonbird is common, but him and Rhyperior are good buddies.

I wouldn't rely on a mega evolution unless it gave you abilities worth sacrificing your valuable item space with.
Pretty much the reason why I use mega kangaskhan in a nutshell. There's not a whole handful of mega evos with as worthwhile abilities as it and kangaskhan's whole strategy relies on it's mega.

Kangaskhan was underrated as well when the online metagame was still filled to the brim with Aegislash. Some anons began noticing that a number of Japanese users were using Kang during that period, and now here we are. I've always used Mega Kang since I've always used Kang since gen 1, but sometimes I don't even send it out on Battle Spot since the opponents are sure to choose 2 Pokemon or so that can easily handle Kang after seeing mine on the preview screen.

Fuck X-Scissor, you get more damage off an aerilate thrash than a 2x 120 stab move. Plus bug has terrible coverage anyway.

I've been running mega absol as a lead, standard magic bounce stuff, but so many bad players don't know it gets magic bounce as a mega, even decent players underestimate how hard and fast it can hit, and very few see the potential of a mixed set. fire blast has been nuts, i take down lucario way too often considering the type matchup and priority moves available, plus once a mega aggron completely mispredicted, thinking he could set up on a physical attacker, and went under 50% from one blast. the only real downside is that if you don't have a decent matchup against their lead, it's hard to actually get the mega and have magic bounce available as a switch in.

That's what it was like in the first few weeks after release on /vp/ anyway. Also people might've hyped Kang a little before release (Drought Charizard Y and Lucario was it got more attention I think) but after the fact that the second hit was weaker was revealed some people dismissed Kang. People continued underestimating it until they realized it hits like a truck with the 125 base Attack.

Yep. Get's the 30% boost from Aerialate and then STAB, boosting it to 58.5 BP. I rounded to the nearest whole, 59, but 58 is hardly a difference. if it was 60BP though that would bring it up to OHKO all 3.

The type shift to Water/Dark is also great. You can play some good mind games with someone by leaving it as a regular Gyara, and still benefit from Intimidate, until you're ready to sweep.

my absol's naive and runs sucker punch, megahorn, play rough, and fireblast. sometimes it ends up as something of a suicide lead, scaring away hazards, taking a chunk out of something and getting ohko'd, but good sucker punch predictions, and the right coverage can rip holes in a team. biggest problems are smogonbird, which will murder you, and dealing with m-mawile or m-lucario after they've evolved. if you have an even start with either, or you get your mega up first, you can usually take them.

I've got a Mega Aggron with Careful nature, 252HP/4Atk/252SpD, perfect IVs in everything but SpA and Speed (the latter being at 0).

His moveset is:
- Heavy Slam
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Can't wait for the Yamask line to arrive so he can wreck even more shit with Trick Room. It's efficiency in a TR team has been tested several times in PS, and the results have been positive so far.

I only tried using it because venusaur was a long time favorite, but holy shit this thing is a monster.
Once seeds are up, the only thing that can even hope to kill it are strong flying or psychic types.

I don't think they might. Unless GF has put special flags on the moves, or they are already egg moves, they won't be passed down. Just like two Smeargles with Happy Hour won't pass it down to their child.

And since anything passed from gen 5 will be missing the pentagon, if they can't pass down tutored moves then you won't be able to use them.

I've been using mega Abomasnow with some success in a Showdown Trick Room team. Hits incredibly hard with STAB Blizzard and Energy Ball (Giga Drain isn't available yet), and EQ takes care of most things those two moves don't.

Of course, there's a lot of priority going around now, so you really need to be careful around stuff like Scizor and Tallowflame. Also any fire moves will kill it, but in most cases you'll either kill it first or switch out, so it's not that big of a deal.

Megachomp is a wallbreaker because in addition to fuckhuge attack with good STABs, it still has great special attack to nuke shits like Skarmory with Fire Blast.

Mega pinsir isn't that bad. If you can revenge kill something with moxie pinsir, and mega evovle on the next turn, its hard to stop the rape train. The best moveset I've found was quick attack/x-scissor/close combat/ EQ. With the right team, it is pretty easy to sweep people.

Even if Smogon wasn't a thing and tiers weren't a thing, I'd be using Mega-Khan. Kangaskhan has always been one of my favorite Pokemon and when it got a Mega I was happy. It's ability only makes it better, and it's access to Power-Up Punch is the icing on the cake.

Your sand team or an opponent's?

Garchomp, Tyranitar, and Aerodactyl are obvious choices. Scizor, Aggron, Lucario, and Mawile aren't hurt by sand.

After that, anything else that can take common weaknesses found on sand teams (grass, water, ice, fighting) as well as deal with them, which is most other megas.

I don't know about retarded, but the Agility set does work wonders with me.

Modest nature with EVs in Sp. Attack and Speed. One use of Agility will bring your Speed up to 378 to back up your 471 Sp. Attack.

And it's always funny to throw your opponent for a loop, like when they expect their Dragonite to take a hit with Multiscale.

I never see Mega Medicham used, and it is obscene.

It doesn't really have the speed or bulk to be the best sweeper, but it smashes nearly any wall with coverage moves and its Hi-Jump Kick.
Its HJK is the strongest attack in the entire game, IIRC.

No one's said something yet about my mega, Mega Mawile. I use one for my doubles Trick Room team. It's less bulky than some of its teammates but it's got great defensive typing, and it rips through Pokemon without great defense, especially if they don't resist Play Rough.

In Battle Spot, Protect is a lot more favorable. Because of how quick battles are, having a dedicated mon that's used just as a sub-booster slave puts you at a disadvantage, whereas if you run Protect, you can save that mon's HP and potentially use it later. You're also not getting much use out of Leftovers unless the mon is supposed to tank hits since battles usually last less than 10 turns.

That's just how I see it anyway.

Mega Banette is just the best thing ever. It hits like a truck and makes your opponent afraid of pressing buttons because of Destiny Bond.
It's not an instant win button because (as with most megas) it has an awkward evolution turn, but that's not too hard to work around.

It has not even once let me down.

Each one is different. Some just get a little boost, some become very different creatures.

For example, Mega Charizard X is Fire/Dragon, gets a huge boost to his attack, and it's ability increases the power of attacks that make contact.

And then some have stats redistributed. Mega Garchomp is slower than Garchomp, but is a bit beefier and hits even harder.

The problem with Mega Tyranitar is that he is largely outclassed by normal Tyranitar, who is typically run as a supportive Pokemon these days.

He can successfully run a Dragon Dance set however, having enough speed to outrun base 130s at +1 and being faster than normal Tyranitar, making him a decent set-up sweeper.

Naive 0 Atk Y2 has a guaranteed kill against Megatar sweeper sets by using Low Kick, and it outspeeds +1 Jolly Megatar if the Y2 in question has already gone mega and gotten his speed boost.

Neither fact has literally ever been relevant to me, but something about them makes me happy. I think it might be the fact that Y2's Attack boost is actually not useless, since it also lets him 1-hit AV Tars with max HP and up to 128 Def and a Neutral nature. Focus Miss hardly even touches most Tars nowadays, who will just Crunch in return.

I've basically only heard of bulk up sets for X2 since >drain punch outside of the usual mixed sets. But since ubers is a pretty special meta, CM might not be bad, but obviously you'll not be making use of that base 190 attack. The main thing is that the biggest moves that X2 is now neutral to are physical, like Sucker Punch and U-turn, which CM doesn't help with.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised if Deoxys and Mewtwos started running Shadow Ball instead of Dark Pulse anyway because of X2, since the only Normals in Ubers are normal Arceus and probably Mega Mom, even if she's not banished to ubers entirely. and it will let them hit Xerneas and Scizor switchins harder and safer. So I don't see X2 and CM together having a lot of specialized defense like Blissey or Avalugg, but rather a bit more balanced.

I'm rather wondering if it will outclass a bulk up set though. Although dual dancing X2 with CM, Bulk Up, and his two stabs would be a hell of a thing. Walled by Sableye though.
