I'm no professional bar tender and I don't measure things, mostly eyeball them. People like my drinks, usually. I work with whatever I have around the house or whatever people bring me, so sorry if they're not up to snuff. This is our favorite drinking challenge.
The Articuno
Blueberry vodka mixed with 1-3 shots of Midori and a tiny splash of a bitter-citrus soda (mountain dew works, sprite/7 up is best)
It should be fruity and sweet but not too overwhelmingly so. It shouldn't sear your mouth too, if so, you put too much vodka in. It should stay blue but look a little muddied, not as clear but not starting to turn green.
The Zapdos
Devil's Cut burbon, mixed with half a lemon's worth of juice and a decently long pour of Sherry. (I'm not a wine expert or anything, I buy Fino)
This is the 'I'm too poor for fancy brand' blend and frankly I don't like mixing my whiskey so much, so I tried to keep my favorite bird simple and classy with an enticingly bitter burn.
The Moltres
Spiced rum with cherry coke mixed in even parts in a lowball glass. Top it off with ginger-ale or ginger-beer of your choice.
Heat it up for a few seconds, for best effect. We tried setting it on fire once but like I said, we're no professionals and long story short the fire chief asked us not to do that again
It should be dark brown or black, it won't smell grate either, but it should feel really heavy when you drink it, but leave a sort of airy after taste with distinctive flavor.
The Lugia
Chilled vodka mixed with equal parts Mountain Dew: White Out. If you pour it too strong, you can add some cranberry juice for color and to even out the flavor.
It should come out a cloudy, milky shade and taste mostly like the soda with a sudden zap in the after taste, burning down, and then feeling cool on your tongue once downed.
I make this baby in a tall glass, if someone manages to slug down the other three drinks. We sit around chanting while the lucky 'Chosen One' chugs it.
