>>16594905>Life orb Alakazam>megazam. I'd definitely agree with Megazam being worse than Sashzam, but this is outright wrong. Sure, you avoid status damage, but Megazam not only has comparable damage (outright better damage if you're running non-modest life orb alakazam, which timid is necessary anyway since you don't want to die to 108s), but you also have improved speed and have the exact same benefit of improved power without losing health you have for Life Orb Alakazam, the entire purpose you would have for running it in the first place.
Unless you're scared of burns on a special attacker, toxic on something with under 50 base defenses in the first place, or are running trick room alakazam for some reason, wanting Life Orb Alakazam is like choosing to give your Dusclops an Assault Vest instead of an Eviolite. It's a boost in both power and speed with no drawback compared to only power.
>Life orb>megascizorI'd disagree with this too, mostly because if you've got an orb on, you're likely running Swords Dance, and Megazor spectacularly outshines regular Scizor at that due to higher defenses so you can stay in. Despite having lower initial power, you end up exponentially stronger than bandzor after a single swords dance, with much more staying power. Which is pretty excellent given you don't have 10% of your health down every time you punch the opponent. The thing about giving up its item slot for the sake of the stone is that increased power is compensated for usually by at least 90%, before accounting for all your other upgrades and then drawbacks of those items are also negated. Then for the sake of something like leftovers, Scizor already has reliable recovery in roost. It's fucking set as far as a mega goes. Regular Scizor is only better for one turn for one specific niche. It's like saying Charizard Y is better than Charizard X.
