Just got the Poke Radar in Pokemon Y. First time using this thing in any game.
Both the NPC that gives it out and countless Google search results say that the Poke Radar makes you run into the same Pokemon over and over again...
Except it doesn't.
Not only are there always like 3-4 shaking patches of grass that all look exactly the same (maybe once in a blue moon I'll get a weakly shaking one), but every time I walk into one, it's a random Pokemon, just like without the Poke Radar.
What gives? What am I missing? Is my Poke Radar defective?
