I've completed a collection of all berries apart from Lansat and Starf berries (the Maison ones), mostly just for the fun of it. I'll probably never use 3/4 of them.
I used surprise mulch to get the last few mutations, since they were being a pain in the ass and not happening otherwise.
On the offchance anybody here has the Maison berries, I'd love to trade. I can give any other berries and a couple of 4IV breeding leftovers (can't remember what off the top of my head)

Use the compost bins near the berry fields.
Boost Mulch (increases yield) = two berries of one colour, one berry of a different colour
Rich Mulch (helps if you don't look after your plants) = three berries of different colours
Surprise Mulch (causes more mutations) = three berries all of same colour
Amaze mulch (all three) = Kee berry or Maranga berry + two other berries

Mostly type-resistance berries (Shuca, Yache, etc) because I don't have 'em all yet and I love using them in competitive.
I use Mulch, but not in any sort of intelligent way.

Right now I'm growing Lansat and Starf alongside Maranga and Kee, with various type-resistance berries that only came from trees and a row of mulch berries.

Why not just use a Reset bag? Much simpler to acquire.

The last of my crops for now, some pomegs and sitrus.
Just cause. I missed the berry planting. Gen III and IV were awesome for this and I'm glad it's back with even more berries to the mix.
A mix of all three. Speaking of which, what was up with Gooey Mulch? I never got what it did and the game was so cryptic with the description.
Pechas, though I'm also fond of the eight hour berries too because you get a lot of them in such a short time.
