Mega Luc is debatable. It's beatable, but does a hell of ton of damage. If it's not banned, it's at least top tier OU.

Mega Alakazam is absolute shit though. It has no priority, and even if it did, a Sucker Punch from just about anything wrecks it's shit. It's arguably the most mediocre of all Megas.

Mega Alakazam getting banned is highly unlikely. Remember that Gengar wasn't banned for its sweeping potential, but rather for its trapping potential. Also Mega Alakazam doesn't hit much harder than standard Life Orb Alakazam (I'm not even sure if it DOES hit harder)

I've heard people mentioning Mega Lucario but it doesn't seem that bad to me. Adaptability is nice, but its stats don't gain that significant of a boost, so I'm not sure how much better it is than, again, a life orb or choice band.

Heatran is an anti-meta Pokemon though, it's good for dealing with Genesect and Talonflame, as well as Scizor as long as they don't predict the switch and Superpower. With Balloon it also counters Excadrill, Garchomp, Salamence, and Dragonite. Volcarona, Trevenant, Klefki, and many others have a hard time against it as well.

It's there because of everything else.

It's easily countered by the right Pokémon, but it also strongly walls some others.

Strong counters include every bulky water, anything with Earthquake/Earth Power and Heat Rotom.

Well it depends like dark pulse or crunch look for the sturdiest ghost or psychic types to see what its weaker too physical or special damage and youd find that its generally a weakness in physical defense so I would run crunch.

If you run SD or NP on a mega you better either go all physical or all special but I find with a mega if you split it down the line so it can hurt on either front you make a much more formidable opponent.

Dumb plays all around. The miss with Hammer arm was pretty bad luck, but switching into Gallade to let him get off a double boost and then kill with Sucker Punch was completely moronic. Could've foddered Rhyperior and let him get 1 boost then switch into full health Gallade to revenge kill half health Kanga (although at that point you've really fucked up by letting M-Kanga get to +5).

From my experience facing these fuckers, I have trouble with the Sp.Atk variety since it's not that common, and most expect a physical set. So it gives you a slight advantage in that regard.
