Shaking grass is still in in the form of the environmental battles (the bushes with pokemon that jump out). Shadows in caves count too.

Yeah, nah. I'd rather have Gen 1/2-tier non-stories than that drivel. And the Gen 5 rivals were awful, especially Hugh.

This is something that X/Y did perfectly, going around with 3 friends and battling and going with different goals all of them, and acting like actual kids would.

Silver and Blue are also damn good when it comes to rivals, a little too much caricaturization maybe, but still good.

Blah. The new exp function is horrible for the earlygame. Especially because they have the fucking tendency to not allow you to go past a certain point until you beat the gym and if you don't want to capture sacrifices you have to grind a couple of hours to get two pokemon to go from level 11 to level 12.

I miss everything. Gen V is without a doubt my favorite. It has the best soundtrack, best Pokemon designs, best post game content, and most importantly, it gave me that old Pokemon feel. Gen VI was a bit disappointing, really. The story was almost confusing and felt rushed at times, the 3D was slower than shit, and had the lack of a challenge.

I'm not ready to let go, bros. ;_;

It's not completely the same, considering that all pokemon that participate in battle get full experience instead of splitting it up between each other. It's really nice for any non-single battles.

It's actually really damn helpful in the restaurants for post-game leveling, slap on a couple Lucky Eggs, get a level 100 pokemon and rotation battle like a madman. It didn't really feel like cheating in the main game either, I used it a lot and I was still pretty underleveled, although the E4 was too easy. Then again, I didn't do much of any post-game stuff in gen V, I didn't bother in B/W and with B/W2 I went straight to the PWT after I beat the game.

I bothered with it post game with my main team in B/W but it was a complete chore and I just didn't bother getting them to LV 100 cause the fuck nuts at Gamefreak thought it was great to get rid of 100 lv battles for no reason. There are no 50 set levels battle too. Unless they changed that in B/W2

At least in X/Y getting to LV1-50 isn't that long and I get a fuckton of money out of it.

Pretty much everything. Gen V was two steps forward an Gen VI was five steps back. Felt like a sequel to Gen IV rather than a sequel to Gen V.

I only use it with my friends. I feel GameFreak was expecting us to use it a lot more than we actually are.
I really hope they make an update (or add in the new version) to allow us to auto-disable it unless with friends/acquaintances. I really have no interest in talking to children or neckbeards.

I really enjoyed Gen 6 but Gen 5 is still my top gen.
I think overall Gen 6 has the best pokemon designs and the best environments though.
That said I really miss the lack of customizable trainers. Pokemon never felt like a series where you should be able to customize your trainer to me (at least in the main series) and the stuff they implemented felt half-assed to me.

I'm glad it's that way, because I hated gen V.

Shit try-hard story and shoving N's cock down our throats.
No Pokémon from older gens until post-game (or B2W2).
Sluggish menus and bag, in contrast to HGSS' perfect navigation via touchscreen.
Shitty useless C-gear taking up space in lower screen.
