Furfrou was almost immediately my favorite Gen VI mon. But I really am not sure how to make him ready for competitive. So, could I get some help from people who run Furfrou?

I don't really feel this is living up to his full potential. Any tips?

I don't run Roar cause that's awful from my perspective and I do 252 on SpDef 252 Spd cause you got Cotton Guard

Better than nothing. Cotton Guard makes up for no Defense EVs. So what role does Furfrou play on a team then?

I personally go with
Furfrou@Leftovers
Impish 252hp/252def
Substitute
Cotton Guard
Snarl/Return
Toxic/T-Wave/Sucker Punch

Once it gets a sub and cotton guard up, no one hit physical can break it in less than 2 turns. Snarl is mostly for doubles for tanking specials, but most of the time you don't want to use it when there are still special attackers alive.

I like this set. If not in doubles, return, and I think T-wave is good for bridging any speed gaps.
