A Japanese mew is more rare than an event English Mew etc. Anything hacked will never be as valuable to the user as something made legit, that's just life.

It varies for each game. For example, if it is third gen, well, I will say this. You would need to trade with many (hundreds) friends for a shiny egg to be shit out. Even on emulator it is a horrible process to get a real one, few people have done this and those who have pioneered it brag of it. Truth be told. Bred Pokemon really aren't my concern, I mean, anyone can grab a legit RNG'd ditto whore clone off of Pokecheck and make their own perfect Pokemon.

And plus, it takes literally around half an hour to breed out the exact same Pokemon, maybe even with better stats because God knows how painful breeding was pre-gen VI.

For me there is only one way to have true Pokemon. I refuse to trade with anyone for fear of hacks and buy both versions. The thing is though, I also don't count Pokemon from any other language than Japanese because they are true Pokemon. Both now must put in extra time to use their pokemon. Hackers will find that extra time easier as their pokemon will have more IVs to breed down.

Not to mention ALL pre gen 6 legendaries would become unusable, not to mention EVENT legendaries.

Are you stupid? Non max ivs only really matters in mirror matches and a few other scenarios. A Kyogre with 29 special attack ivs is still a Kyogre and will still be strong as hell.

It could mean that you don't finish off your opponent before they set up too.

and in any case having non-perfect IVs doesn't somehow make the pokemon worthless.

Like I said, the most important one is speed. Other than that one or two points will usually not do anything.

Oh it matters, but 5 or 6 IVs won't turn a game from a win to a loss. Obviously a 0 IV will make shit hard but a small difference definitely won't win games except in very specific circumstances.
Luck is more likely to make a difference and would be more to blame in most cases.

Not necessarily. Opportunities to abuse "he only has 283 Def and not 289" don't often present themselves, let alone the opponent knowing your Mon's IVs.

Obviously it's not as good as 6x31 but it's not gonna lose games by itself on a remotely regular basis,
