>>16641842>... does this mean no more official Bionicle stuff? Ever? ;_;Dunno. I guess there's a chance Lego'll bring it back, but I can't imagine them doing it anytime soon (though it is coming up on... four years, I think? since it was cancelled).
The 'perfect storm' for them to bring it back would be something like:
-Wait a few more years, both so that the old version has faded from immediate memory and so that people who knew it are old enough to start families/etc
-Lego by then has furthered their branching-out into media/story-heavy lines, which we're seeing with Chima/Ninjago
-They need a good Technic line to sell
-The big one: someone (or someones) in the company with a strong track record puts together a convincing treatment for a storyline, sets, the whole nine yards. You need a strong case to bring back something that ran counter to the company's ideals back when it was going.
Again: not impossible. But not anytime soon, and by no means a guarantee.
Till then you'll have to get by on fanworks like the rest of us.
Some of which are actually pretty damn good.
