Now give that Pokemon a mega with an ability/type change/moovepool/and or new stats good enough to send it into OU but not powerful enough to get it banned

Seriously, the worse offensive stat should be no more than 60. A lot of Pokemon have high Special Attack when they would absolutely never use them over their Attack stat, and vice versa.

Stats are where they need to be, but ability kinda stinks.

I thought of one called "Fragrant" where ALL attacks have reduced damage (~25%) against M-Meganium. Not too broken, but ties into flavor text and helps it be bulky

I've had an idea for an ability called "Riposte". It deals half of whatever physical damage Gallade endures back to its opponent. It's probably really OP but Gallade doesn't have a lot of bulk anyway.

Versatile: When M-Rapidash attacks it uses either ATK or SPA for calculating the move's damage, depending on which defensive stat is weaker on the target pokemon.

Yep, weak to Stealth Rocks, I know. It wouldn't get to OU I think, but taking a Sneaky Pebbles to the face if Blazing Temper is the ability makes it very strong. I'd include some Flying moves in the moveset to get STAB as well, attribute them to the incredible swiftness of Rapidash or something. The idea is that people wouldn't be sure if you're running a Versatile mixed attacker that can always hit your weakest stat, or one that will pump up into a monster if it gets hit and survives.
