I feel Mega-Evolution was mostly wasted, and there was a lot of potential to give boosts and maybe some new popularity to Pokemon that needed it.
Sadly sounds like Magcargo will never get his time in the spotlight with the exception of the planets aligning perfect chance to get two shell smashes off. (Even then no promises)
