i just tried it. Instacheck isn't picking anything my GF and I are showing. not even hitting offer shows anything. I think they encrypted it. We were both connected to the internet, and I was on my instacheck connection (deleted all other possible networks in my 3ds settings). I think it's dead for now. I'm hoping they just shuffled data around a bit instead of fully encrypting it. But as of right now, I can confirm it's not working

Try it yourself. If I somehow fucked up in checking, which I highly doubt, then I'd be a lot happier. They can't stop us from connecting to a virtual router though, so we can still keep intercepting the traffic, we just need to relearn how to read it.
