I guess you want to counter Pokémon that can do a lot of damage to the Funbro. I'd say having both Funbro and Funking would be best, so you still have a chance at trapping if you fuck it up once.

I would suggest having Dugtrio to trap electric-types that theaten them
Infernape (or any other Fire/Fighting) or Hitmonlee deals well with the grass and dark types that can SE them.
Some ghost Pokémon can threaten you, but I dunno what the best ghost counter is.
If possible, switch Funbro/King in on a support Pokémon that definitely doesn't have toxic.

You need something that can get rid of Toxic Spikes, bad poison can stop Funbro easily. Other hazards done matter much. You should probably have both Funbro and Funking so you can trap physical and special attackers. Last thing I can think of is you'll need to counter Rotom-W and Scizor since they can escape with Volt Switch/U-Turn. Also avoid Ghosts now that they can't be trapped.

Showderp has Own Tempo on their Funbro set, but I use Regenerator. It helps when I end up switching into something that has an unexpected U-Turn or attack that deals over 50%.

Ideally you shouldn't be trying to trap common Taunters. Usually they're pranksters who can mess you up with status.
