Instacheck dying doesn't really affect me, overall I think it's a good thing gamefreak is actually doing something about cheating though, gives me some hope for doing something about pokegenned things, or at least ones that aren't transferred from older generations.

Got a shiny Tyrunt yesterday, my shortest MMing project so far at only 75 eggs, 31/31/31/x/x/31 and I don't expect him to take special hits very well anyway. I need to think of a better nickname

Yeah, sadly the Red Gyrados is extremely popular, even more so now that he counts as a Fishing shiny. When Bank opens, you'l have trouble finding people who don't have one.

However, it does MegaEvolve, which is cool. Despite how common they are (compared to other shinies of course) seeing it in use is actually kind of rare.

But anyways, it doesn't really matter if other people have it. It's still a Shiny, and if you found it outside of the Lake of Rage, it makes it all the much sweeter, even if nobody else knows.

9 shinies in a week is still really cool though. Similar story when I was going for my Protean Frogadier. Took me a week, with like 5 other shinies in the meantime (Including a TorrentFrog).

After 600+ I started getting paranoied. "Maybe the pokemon I left at the Day Care is not from another region?". Or "maybe I hatched it but didn't notice at all?". I checked and everything is fine.
I still have 4 boxes to hatch for today. Who knows, maybe I'll finally get lucky and soon post about my brand new shiny Mawile?

I have finished my 32nd box of Hawluchas (960 pokemon) and still no shiny. I'm starting to think that the pokemon I put in the daycare isn't really from Murrica and they tricked me.

Since my box number 20 i have being "This egg is the shiny" for every egg. I'm almost giving up, pals.

How much boxes/pokemon did you hatch before the shiny? Because it's getting insanely long.

Mawile person here. We can shoot each other and die a beautiful death together.
This ride is the longest I had so far. Before that my record for most eggs hatched was ~550 for Eevee, but I got all my other shinies much faster (even at egg #30!). That's probably why I'm so frustrated with this one. Masuda spoiled me in the past.

It's a beautiful story no one knows.
I had been using shit dittos to get my first 2 pokemon (2 xerneas, since i have Pokemon Y and I wanted another Xerneas for trading if needed), and I looked for a Shiny Hawlucha.
Hawlucha is my fucking bro, i don't know why, but he is. At the moment I saw him at low level when i was alking to Town-with-a-giant-killing-flower-burried and I saw him i thought: WOW.

I captured him and I saw he was flying fighting, and I loved him. Later he got Flying press, the only move with 2 types, and I loved it.

So I only have a shitty main adventure Hawlucha, and I looked for a Shiny Hawlucha in the GTS. No one.
But I saw something interesting: A Hawlucha in the GTS whose trainer said it was "5IV and Jolly" tradng for Xerneas. I love Hawlucha (as you now know) and I didn't have one with good IVs, so i considered it.

But of course I thought it could be a shitty Hawlucha pretending to be pentaperfect, so I didn't know what to do.

I closed the 3DS and thought for a while.
I thought I wanted to get him, even if it was a lie.
Also I promissed myself to breed it for a shiny if it was a real 5IV Jolly Hawlucha.
I opened the 3DS and did the trade (anyways i had 2 Xerneas, and they weren't mine).

I got a 5IV Jolly unburden Hawlucha from New Jersey, Murrica. That day I love the mankind.

Since that day i have never lied in the GTS, and I'm always giving 5IV Jolly Hawluchas for random things (legendary or not).

And my other Hawlucha parent is from Spain, my country, so it should work for MM, shouldn't it?

As for MM, you see the tags, ENG, JAP, SPA, ITA, ect.? You need to make sure that the two Pokemon have different tags. Are you playing in English or Spanish? If both of the Pokemon are from English games, then I have some bad news for you.

But don't panic. As >>16650869 said, if you need help, there are usually people in these threads willing to send back a foreign parent if you do need it.

So I sort of used instacheck this last week - I know 20 boxes isn't truly that much, but I was getting tired of it and just wanted to peek into the next box before I hatched them (also wanted to see how the IVs were turning out). Someone checked them for me, and what happened to be in that bunch? This lil gal. My own SV, and five perfect IVs, too - I can't believe it.

So took around 19 boxes of MMing. Finally have the shiny I've wanted since HG/SS! My condolences to those who used insta regularly. I hope you all have good luck MMing, REing, etc.

Welp. I guess finding that Tyunt really boosted my luck lately.

While doing my laundry for the past two and a half hours or whatever, I managed to find two shiny Pokemon from the Safari. One was the Ditto I was looking for.

The other is this Shiny Teddiursa that I don't quite care for as much. It's pretty crappy stat-wise, too.

I was in a blissful state the first time I watched it. Only problem is it kept trying to outdo itself with feels. First time I watched it, I remember feeling particularly overwhelmed seeing Sam get his dream family, and then I watched it again, and the "You bow to no-one" line got me, and then the time after it was when Sam and Frodo think that they're going to die, and Sam asks him if he remembers the Shire that sent the tears flowing, but most recently, it was the final scene with Frodo and Bilbo that did it for me. I don't know if that's good or not, but yeah...

Garchomp definitely. Gible and Gabite have cute shinies, but Garchomp loses the blue/teal/yellow and just make the skin slightly more grey. M-Garchomp redeems itself though.

Umbreon's is pretty nice too, for sure.

Vaporeon is alright. Purple is my favorite color, but I'm not big on a lot of the purple shinies for some reason. I guess it's just the shade.

Decided to hunt a rock safari, not caring what shiny I got and received this guy as Gen VI Shiny #7; my 2nd overall Friend Safari shiny.

Neutral nature, shit ability, perfect IVs in wrong stats, but for some reason I felt the need to catch him in a Luxury ball instead of my usual premium ball catch, probably because it's nothing but a trophy shiny.
