Why do a lot of /vp/ users get upset over others using legendaries? From a competitive perspective, I could understand the almost universally banned ones like Mewtwo, but what's the big deal about Articuno or Moltres? They're not good enough to get upset over. If we're talking in-game, then I still don't see the problem. Pokemon games are piss-easy, there's no sense of accomplishment for beating them without legendaries. Unless you use total, bottom of the barrel shitmons or do something like a nuzlocke with a billion extra rules, there's no pride whatsoever. If difficulty really matters that much to you then you're playing the wrong game.

This isn't even something exclusive to /vp/. Even well before the board started, in other Pokemon communities, I've seen plenty of people just utterly hate legendaries, even forming silly signature chains about their hate. So what's the deal?
