Favorite: Bulbasaur. I have a soft spot for the guy.
Hated: Torchic. PURELY because he's fucking everywhere online. Plus the pants.
Cutest: Tie between Totodile and Tepig
Ugliest: Chikorita. Too simplistic.
Best: Chimchar. Powerful, but not OVERpowered.
Worst: Chikorita, just for not really having a worthwhile gimmick. Single-typed grass. Yay. Snore.

gen1, 4 and 6 have the best starters.

Johto starters are the blandest of all who only grow in size and can't do anything. Totodile is my favourite Pokémon though. Gen 5 isn't that much better. I like the desingns, but the typings could be better. And for some reasons I never got used to the looks of gen3 starters, they'll probably always be "lel Digimon" for me Mega Blaziken looks awesome though.

Feraligatr and Torterra are the best.

Funny story, my youngest sibling's favorite Pokemon was Turtwig (He started with gen 4). He collected cards, drew pictures of it, everything. I think his favorite is mew now but he convinced me to choice a Turtwig in my run of Platinum. Ever since I've loved the guy, I just wish he would too again.
