I'm thinking of creating a dinosaur or fossil team (most likely the latter since it's a more obvious theme, though admittedly it'd be a Fighting-type punching bag), how should it go? Tyrantrum gets an easy pass for being the token T.Rex and maybe Aerodactyl for the Mega.

he's really strong, it's just unfortunate his typing isn't that great defensively.
There ARE ways to make him work, but you gotta make sure you breed one with 3 fangs and dragon dance. Even if you don't use them all, being able to swap the moveset is a good idea.
The dude has pretty damn decent coverage.

Is Adamant or Jolly better? I've been running Adamant and to be honest he's still faster than 75% of all other Pokemon I've fought. After DD he's unstoppable.

At least Tyrantrum and Blastoise got the moves they needed to utilize their abilities, even if it wasn't immediately apparent from the start since we have to breed for them. Look at Pangoro and Iron Fist.

Yeah, Poison Fang is really the odd one out there. It's *possible* to breed Poison and 2 of your favorites...but it's a pain. Which is too bad cuz Poison Fang would give the Fairies something to think about

Yeah. Choosing is hard.
Fire Fang is the obvious one because it covers Steel, Grass, Ice, and Bug, which includes the major fairy threat. Throw in Thunder Fang to cover the other two, and Crunch for ghosts and brainy thinky mons.

STAB Dragon Claw has to be more useful than some of the fangs. I personally run Fire Fang because the rest of my team is pretty Water heavy and gets walled by Steels.

It's good if you prefer higher damage and neutral coverage, but Edgequake+Ice Fang provides the best SE coverage.
Maybe if you went Scarfed/Banded/Vested you could run Stone Edge or Head Smash/Dragon Claw/Earthquake/Ice Fang

The fangs (save for Crunch) are weaker than Stone Edge plus Earthquake plus Dracgon Claw plus DD.
It can't use its ability for shit.

That is a huge difference and strong neutral coverage is the most important thing for a set up sweeper, hell if it got Outrage that would be the best option since it gets that super strong STAB Stone Edge for Fairies.

something interesting, though, is that people don't expect you to be carrying the fangs. I've had people switch into something like Ferrothorn or Scizor against be because, under normal circumstances, they'd resist or be neutral to the three you listed.
They never expect fire fang.
