Ever built a team around one Pokemon but then later discovered it's another teammate that really shines?
Pic extremely related, this fucker walls Rotom-W completely once it's been Taunted by my Crobat. Slugmon allows me to double switch into Magnezone.to get rid of their Steel-types. It just walled an entire DrizzleSwim team, too.

I start using my starter throughout the game until a quarter through when I see myself splitting EXP to two of my mons.
By 60% through I end up using my other mon (usually a fighting or psychic but maybe fire) a lot more. I usually end up using my starter only for gym battles after then.

Sort of. I was making a Trick Room team once in Gen V and in my search for a doubles partner to set up with my Conkledurr, I turned to the Telepathy Musharna you can catch. Perfect bro for the job. Sets up Trick Room and Dual Screens like a boss, allowing Conkledurr to go wild in the meantime.

I want to make a team around a Ludicolo sometime but I doubt it will ever be something that shines on its own merits. But I'll let you know how that goes if/when I do.
