I'm with you, OP.
Talonflame, Cloister and M. Kanga are single-handedly making singles no fun for me. Talonflame isn't so bad because it has reliable counters, but if you don't pack one of those counters, it can do HEAVY damage to your team before going down, if not outright perform a full sweep.
I'm basically done with OU singles on pokemon showdown until Smogon bans Mega Mom. People who actually defend this thing, come back when you've fought it teamed with a Galvantula and spinblocker. I honestly don't know if that combo HAS a counter that's not Sableye, and even Sableye isn't reliable.
Even if Kanga gets banned by smogon, I'm still sticking to doubles on battlespot, because it's still gonna show up there.
