It hits your opponent and switches you out. It's useful for hit and run tactics.

I use grass knot because I don't have a grass
type on my team to fuck up certain Pokémon.
I already have an Absol covering dark type
moves. Really it's just a personal preference.

Dark Pulse
Grass Knot only hits hard if the opponent in heavy. Plus, Grass Type is a bit inferior to Dark on offense.
