Reminds me of Gen IV when we got the physical/special split and all previous Dark moves became physical and the only special one was Dark Pulse which was introduced in said Generation.

Well, on the plus side, there's pretty much nothing that exists to abuse a rock type DM. Omastar and Archeops pre defeatist are the only rock types that even have triple digit special attack.

That was my reaction back in GEN I with the Ghost and Bug attacks. Let's just wait 10 - 15 more years for more of a selection, then we can talk about the hand-full of moves the newer 5 or so types get.
