The problem with the Pokemon games is that they are making them more like Pokemon games instead of RPGs. They create paradigms every game and are afraid to get out of them.
They know that the format will never fail but they really could be doing something awesome.
>you are a boy/girl in a tiny city>Hidden Machines>3 starter mons (I get this one, just mentioning)>Starting routes having normal typesAnd a ton more.
>>16704165This anon nails it, the games now feel more like a field trip you know where you are supposed to go by simply looking at the map.
I love Kalos but it is really underwhelming, there is no place you want to explore just for the hell of it. There isn't anything to discover, it feels really bland.
I'm hoping that they'll add a ton of shit on the next game, I seriously do. XY had a lingering feel that made me think it was setting up to some great shit that never happened, it was awful when it endend and I had nothing left to do (besides play competitively).
I get it that they wanted to make it accessible to everybody, but holy shit the game tells you about EVERYTHING.
You guys feel me? ;_;
